What this site keeps about you

The site uses your browser's local storage for four things. Each stays on your device, is never sent to us, and is removed when you clear this site's data in your browser.

• pcbuilder.librarythe builds you have saved, under their names

The builder's share link encodes your build in the address itself, after the #. A browser does not send that part of an address to a server, so a shared build is read by whoever you give the link to, and by no one else. Exported builds are files on your device.

The host keeps ordinary access logs — the address a request came from, the time, and the page asked for — for as long as its default retention, and uses them to run the site. No log is joined to anything that identifies you, because nothing here identifies you.

The server reads two outside sources on its own schedule: Blender Open Data for benchmark medians, and, when a price refresh runs, the price sources named on the About page. Those reads carry no visitor data.

“Where to buy” links to each shop's own search — Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Micro Center — and the Benchmarks card links to Blender Open Data. Once you follow one, that site's policy applies, not this one. The site sets nothing on those pages and reads nothing back. Links to Amazon carry the site's affiliate tag and are marked where they appear; the Disclosure page lists the programmes.
