Affiliate links and sponsorship
Links to Amazon carry the site's affiliate tag: a purchase made through one pays the site a commission at no cost to you. Every other retailer link is that shop's own search page. No one pays for placement, and there is no advertising.

What the links are
“Where to buy” on a part page links to each shop's own search for that model — Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, B&H, Micro Center. A search link claims nothing about price or stock; the shop answers that itself. The links to Newegg, Best Buy, B&H and Micro Center earn nothing. The site shows no advertising and has no sponsor.

The rules
What governs affiliate links
These were written before the first affiliate link existed and are as binding on the site as the data rules on the About page.
- Every affiliate link is marked where it appears, in the same type as the site's sourcing notes, not only on this page.
- Commission never affects order. Offers are listed cheapest first, whatever each pays; a retailer with no programme is shown the same way as one with.
- No sponsored placement, no “recommended retailer”, no coupon widgets, no advertising.
- A price beside a retailer's name comes only from that retailer's own feed, dated; the site never invents an offer. A tagged search link is still a search link.
- This page lists every programme joined, with the network and the date.
